Frequently asked questions
Every piece is hand-built in our British workshop by skilled frame makers and upholsterers. Nothing is mass-imported or flat-packed. Buying from us keeps UK craftsmanship alive and reduces transport miles.
Frames and feet are kiln or air dried solid beech or birch hardwood. Seat cushions use a good quality foam core wrapped in soft fibre for long-lasting comfort and shape. Back Cushions are pocketed fibre for good support. We upholster using European Hides Tanned in Italy, authentic Harris Tweed® handwoven in the Outer Hebrides, and premium sheepskin. Every component is chosen for quality and longevity.

We build locally using responsibly sourced beech and birch hardwood. Cushions are refillable or replaceable, and frames are designed for longevity. We use by-product natural materials wherever possible—our Distressed Vintage Leather is made from hides that are a by-product of the farming industry, and our premium sheepskin is also a by-product—giving valuable materials a second life and reducing waste over decades of use.
Yes—our upholstery complies with the UK Furniture & Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations (BS 5852). Your item will carry the fire regulation label.
