It started with my grandfather's G-Plan Blofeld chair, which I idolised long before I ever thought of furniture as a living. That fascination took me rummaging through the dépôts-ventes of France, the vintage winkels of the Netherlands and auction rooms across the UK, at a time when these timeless classics were still plentiful.

For years I traded the classics, from Chesterfields and club chairs to mid-century armchairs, until there were enough of them to line the M3, or very nearly. With more than two hundred pieces in stock, I began to dig into the soul of each one, and somewhere along the way I started giving them names.

Over time, good originals became harder to find, and many of those that remained were too worn to restore properly. I realised that if these designs were going to have a future, someone would need to start making them again.

I kept the character of the originals while adjusting them for the way we live now, refining the sit and deepening the seats for modern proportions and comfort. A few of my favourites, including the Alfie, the Wilder and the Space, carry names from those early days.

I would like to think you will be pleasantly surprised when yours arrives, and that one day it will become a future antique, discovered by a new generation of dealers with the same passion I have always had.
