The Hepburn trades the Chesterfield's formality for something rounder and lower, arms that curl in rather than scroll up, built for curling up on rather than sitting formally upright. The snuggler size is a genuine one-and-a-half seater, wide enough to share without needing a full sofa's footprint. Upholstery is our distressed vintage leather, a semi-aniline hide tanned in Italy from natural European cattle skins, hand-cut and fitted by our upholsterers so grain and colour vary slightly piece to piece. Beneath it sits a breathable cotton pad, which keeps the leather from trapping heat and is part of why it lightens and softens with age rather than cracking or wearing thin. Available as a snuggler, 2-seater or 3-seater, in tan, brown, black, red or green. This is a sofa built to be lived on properly rather than kept for best, one that looks better in five years than it does on the day it arrives. Lead time is four to six weeks, and every piece meets UK fire safety regulations and comes with a 15-year frame guarantee.

• Clean stains with light warm soapy water and wash again with clean cold water. Pat dry or lightly with a hair dryer. Then buff up.
• Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent possible fading.
• Do not use abrasive and chemical materials such as sandpaper, alcohol, bleach for cleaning the surfaces.
• Protect from contact with sharp and hard objects.
• The leather can be cared for once a year, using a semi-analine cream added sparingly and buffed up.

The leather used in our furniture is a by-product of the farming industry. Using the hide ensures more of the animal is used rather than wasted. Our sofas are made using traditional upholstery methods and solid hardwood frames, which prioritise repair and re-covering over replacement.
