The Groucho is built across three sizes, from a 2-seater up to a full 4-seater, and the proportions stay consistent at every size rather than the frame simply being stretched and the shape lost along the way. Upholstery is our distressed vintage leather, hand-cut and fitted by our upholsterers so grain and colour vary slightly piece to piece. Beneath it sits a breathable cotton pad, letting the hide breathe rather than trapping heat and moisture, part of why the leather lightens gradually with age rather than cracking. Seat cushions use a supportive foam core wrapped in fibre, built to hold their shape under everyday use. Frame construction is solid hardwood, built to order in Britain, available in tan, brown, black, red or green. Backed by a 15-year frame guarantee, it's built to be repaired and lived with for decades rather than replaced when it starts to show its age. Lead time is four to six weeks.

• Clean stains with light warm soapy water and wash again with clean cold water. Pat dry or lightly with a hair dryer. Then buff up.
• Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent possible fading.
• Do not use abrasive and chemical materials such as sandpaper, alcohol, bleach for cleaning the surfaces.
• Protect from contact with sharp and hard objects.
• The leather can be cared for once a year, using a semi-analine cream added sparingly and buffed up.

The leather used in our furniture is a by-product of the farming industry. Using the hide ensures more of the animal is used rather than wasted. Our sofas are made using traditional upholstery methods and solid hardwood frames, which prioritise repair and re-covering over replacement.
