The Urban solves a real problem rather than adding a feature for its own sake, detachable arms designed with narrow staircases, tight hallways and flat entrances in mind, so it can go through a doorway a fixed-arm sofa simply can't. Those arms are fixed with concealed bolts rather than glue, fitted and removed by hand, which means the frame can still be worked on later rather than sealed shut. Upholstery is our distressed vintage leather, hand-cut and fitted by our upholsterers, carrying real scars and grain variation across the surface. Seat cushions use a supportive foam core wrapped in fibre, built to hold their shape under everyday use. Frame construction is solid hardwood, built to order in Britain, available in tan, brown, black, red or green. A practical answer for a period flat or a tricky staircase without giving up the comfort of a full-sized sofa. Lead time is four to six weeks, and every piece meets UK fire safety regulations.

• Clean stains with light warm soapy water and wash again with clean cold water. Pat dry or lightly with a hair dryer. Then buff up.
• Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent possible fading.
• Do not use abrasive and chemical materials such as sandpaper, alcohol, bleach for cleaning the surfaces.
• Protect from contact with sharp and hard objects.
• The leather can be cared for once a year, using a semi-analine cream added sparingly and buffed up.

The leather used in our furniture is a by-product of the farming industry. Using the hide ensures more of the animal is used rather than wasted. Our sofas are made using traditional upholstery methods and solid hardwood frames, which prioritise repair and re-covering over replacement.
