The Wilder is a proper vintage style club armchair, built the way these chairs were made before shortcuts became standard. It’s handmade to order in Britain using a solid hardwood frame and traditional upholstery methods, with an emphasis on structure, comfort, and long-term use.

The shape is classic club chair — upright, compact, and supportive. This isn’t a deep, slouchy seat. You sit in it rather than sink into it, which makes it comfortable for reading, conversation, or everyday use. The proportions are well balanced, so it works just as well in smaller rooms as it does alongside a sofa.

The Wilder is upholstered in Italian-tanned distressed vintage leather. This is a 100% natural, semi-aniline leather chosen for character rather than uniformity. You’ll see natural creases, grain variation, and changes in tone from the outset. Over time the leather softens and lightens rather than darkening, developing a worn-in look rather than becoming shiny or tired. Each chair will age slightly differently, which is exactly how a natural leather armchair should behave. All leather is oiled and waxed before delivery to nourish the hide and provide initial protection.

The seat cushion is removable. It’s built with a supportive foam core wrapped in ultra silk fibre, designed to hold its shape and provide consistent comfort rather than softening or collapsing over time.

The nailhead trim along the front of the arms is traditionally applied. It finishes the shape cleanly without making the chair feel decorative or fussy, and follows the natural lines of the frame rather than using pre-made strips.

This is a British-made armchair built to be repaired, re-covered, and kept in use for decades, not a lightweight imported piece designed to be replaced.

Available in Tan, Brown, Black, or Green distressed vintage leather. Each Wilder Club Armchair is handmade to order in Britain with a typical lead time of 4–6 weeks.

• Clean stains with light warm soapy water and wash again with clean cold water. Pat dry or lightly with a hair dryer. Then buff up.
• Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent possible fading.
• Do not use abrasive and chemical materials such as sandpaper, alcohol, bleach for cleaning the surfaces.
• Protect from contact with sharp and hard objects.
• The leather can be cared for once a year, using a semi-analine cream added sparingly and buffed up.
