The cabriole legs on the Queen Anne are shaped and fitted by hand rather than turned to a single standard profile, which is part of what makes the traditional wingback design work properly rather than as a rough copy of it. The high, winged back sets it apart from a plainer armchair, a more formal silhouette suited to a study or a fireside spot rather than a low, relaxed seat. Upholstery is our distressed vintage leather, hand-cut and fitted by our upholsterers, carrying real scars and grain variation across the surface, and lightening gradually with age rather than darkening or wearing thin. Seat cushions use a supportive foam core wrapped in fibre, built to hold their shape under everyday use. Frame construction is solid hardwood, made to order in Britain. A chair built to hold its shape and improve in appearance over years of proper use. Lead time is four to six weeks, and every piece meets UK fire safety regulations.

• Clean stains with light warm soapy water and wash again with clean cold water. Pat dry or lightly with a hair dryer. Then buff up.
• Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent possible fading.
• Do not use abrasive and chemical materials such as sandpaper, alcohol, bleach for cleaning the surfaces.
• Protect from contact with sharp and hard objects.
• The leather can be cared for once a year, using a semi-analine cream added sparingly and buffed up.
