Most of our sofas come in one firmness, but the Harris is offered with a genuine choice, from firm through to medium-soft, fitted into the cushions at the point of upholstery rather than adjusted afterwards, so you're choosing how it actually feels rather than just how it looks. The seat is deep and wide rather than a formal upright back, made for the sofa that ends up doing most of the work in a living room, the one people actually sit on rather than perch at the edge of. Upholstery is our distressed vintage leather, hand-cut and fitted by our upholsterers, with a breathable cotton pad beneath the cushions so the hide isn't sealed against solid foam, letting it age naturally rather than simply wearing thin. Frame construction is solid hardwood, built to order in Britain, sized up to XL for larger rooms, available in tan, brown, black, red or green. A sofa bought to be sat on daily for years, not admired occasionally. Lead time is four to six weeks, and every piece meets UK fire safety regulations.

• Clean stains with light warm soapy water and wash again with clean cold water. Pat dry or lightly with a hair dryer. Then buff up.
• Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent possible fading.
• Do not use abrasive and chemical materials such as sandpaper, alcohol, bleach for cleaning the surfaces.
• Protect from contact with sharp and hard objects.
• The leather can be cared for once a year, using a semi-analine cream added sparingly and buffed up.

The leather used in our furniture is a by-product of the farming industry. Using the hide ensures more of the animal is used rather than wasted. Our sofas are made using traditional upholstery methods and solid hardwood frames, which prioritise repair and re-covering over replacement.
