The Danish leans into Scandinavian mid-century design, cleaner and more geometric than our club or wingback chairs, built around visible wood and simpler lines for a room that wants less bulk and more clean form. The tapered legs are solid hardwood, turned and fitted by hand rather than moulded. Upholstery is our distressed vintage leather, a semi-aniline hide tanned in Italy from natural European cattle skins, hand-cut and fitted so grain and colour vary slightly piece to piece. Made to order on a solid hardwood frame in Britain, available in tan, brown, black or green. The leather lightens gradually with age rather than darkening, so the chair develops real character the longer it's used, a quiet contrast to the clean lines of the frame beneath it. Lead time is four to six weeks, and every piece meets UK fire safety regulations.

• Clean stains with light warm soapy water and wash again with clean cold water. Pat dry or lightly with a hair dryer. Then buff up.
• Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent possible fading.
• Do not use abrasive and chemical materials such as sandpaper, alcohol, bleach for cleaning the surfaces.
• Protect from contact with sharp and hard objects.
• The leather can be cared for once a year, using a semi-analine cream added sparingly and buffed up.

The leather used in our furniture is a by-product of the farming industry. Using the hide ensures more of the animal is used rather than wasted. Our sofas are made using traditional upholstery methods and solid hardwood frames, which prioritise repair and re-covering over replacement.
