Detailed Description

The Burlington shape comes in either material, distressed vintage leather on its own, or genuine Harris Tweed with leather trim, depending on which listing you're browsing, so the choice comes down to how you want the chair to age rather than any difference in comfort. The tweed is woven and stamped with the Orb mark in the Outer Hebrides, available in Herringbone or Check weave with tan or brown leather trim. Whichever material, the seat stays deep and rounded, built for sitting properly rather than perching on the edge, with a supportive foam core wrapped in fibre to hold its shape under years of everyday use. Frame construction is solid hardwood, made to order in Britain. It's an easy way to bring a genuinely handmade piece into a smaller room without the commitment of a full sofa. Lead time is four to six weeks, and every piece meets UK fire safety regulations.

Sustainability

Harris Tweed is hand-woven from pure virgin wool in the Outer Hebrides, using traditional methods passed down through generations. The wool is a renewable natural fibre, and every piece of Harris Tweed is produced under strict local regulation. By upholstering our furniture in Harris Tweed and making each piece in Britain, we support rural industries, skilled craftsmanship, and reduced transport compared to imported furniture.
