The Hugh trades the Chesterfield's formality for something rounder and lower, arms that curl in rather than scroll up, built for curling up on rather than sitting formally upright. The snuggler size is a genuine one-and-a-half seater, wide enough to share without needing a full sofa's footprint, which makes it a good fit for a smaller second sitting room as much as a main living space. It pairs genuine Harris Tweed, woven in the Outer Hebrides, with distressed vintage leather across the arms and trim, the leather hand-cut and fitted by our upholsterers rather than machine-stretched, with a breathable cotton pad beneath it so the hide can breathe. Herringbone or Check weave, set against tan or brown leather, and the two materials age quite differently, the tweed wearing in softly while the leather darkens and mellows, so the sofa keeps developing character well past the day it arrives. Frame construction is solid hardwood, built to order in Britain. Available as a snuggler, 2-seater or 3-seater. Lead time is four to six weeks.

• Clean stains very lightly with warm water and pat dry with a cloth or very lightly dry with a hair dryer.
• Harris Tweed cushions are removable and can be dry cleaned.
• Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent the product from fading.
• Do not use abrasive or chemical materials such as sandpaper, alcohol, bleach for cleaning the surfaces.
• Protect from contact with sharp objects.
• The thread coming out of any part of the fabrics should never be pulled and torn. It should be cut with scissors without damaging the product.
• Leather can be maintained once a year, using a semi-aniline cream and lightly buffed
