Two materials, two different lives. The Berkley pairs genuine Harris Tweed across the main panels with distressed vintage leather on the arms and trim, and over the years the two will age quite differently, the tweed wearing in softly while the leather darkens and mellows at its own pace, so the chair keeps changing in small ways long after it arrives. The tweed is woven and stamped with the Orb mark in the Outer Hebrides, cut and fitted by hand rather than stretched over the wingback in one piece, which is the only way to get a genuine weave to sit properly on a curved panel. The wingback shape itself is built up over padding by hand, wrapping around the shoulders for reading or dozing by a fire rather than leaving you exposed to a draughty room. Frame construction is solid hardwood, traditionally jointed for strength. Available in tan or brown leather with Herringbone tweed in Bracken Brown. It suits a study, a landing, or anywhere that wants a chair with real presence rather than a second sofa seat. Lead time is four to six weeks, and every piece meets UK fire safety regulations and comes with a 15-year frame guarantee.

• Clean stains very lightly with warm water and pat dry with a cloth or very lightly dry with a hair dryer.
• Harris Tweed cushions are removable and can be dry cleaned.
• Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent the product from fading.
• Do not use abrasive or chemical materials such as sandpaper, alcohol, bleach for cleaning the surfaces.
• Protect from contact with sharp objects.
• The thread coming out of any part of the fabrics should never be pulled and torn. It should be cut with scissors without damaging the product.
• Leather can be maintained once a year, using a semi-aniline cream and lightly buffed
