This Berkley splits its materials by function, genuine Harris Tweed for the main body and distressed vintage leather where the chair takes the most contact, the arms and trim, so each part is doing the job it suits best. The tweed is woven and stamped with the Orb mark on the Isle of Lewis, available in Herringbone or Check weave, hand-fitted alongside leather that darkens and mellows with genuine use, so the contrast between the two tends to grow more distinct over the years rather than settle into one tone. The high wingback shape is built up over padding by hand rather than simply covered, in keeping with the Chesterfield's traditional silhouette. Frame construction is solid hardwood, made to order in Britain. Seat cushions use a supportive foam core wrapped in fibre, built to hold their shape under everyday use. Available in tan or brown leather with Herringbone or Check tweed. Lead time is four to six weeks, and every piece meets UK fire safety regulations.

• Clean stains very lightly with warm water and pat dry with a cloth or very lightly dry with a hair dryer.
• Harris Tweed cushions are removable and can be dry cleaned.
• Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent the product from fading.
• Do not use abrasive or chemical materials such as sandpaper, alcohol, bleach for cleaning the surfaces.
• Protect from contact with sharp objects.
• The thread coming out of any part of the fabrics should never be pulled and torn. It should be cut with scissors without damaging the product.
• Leather can be maintained once a year, using a semi-aniline cream and lightly buffed
