Detailed Description

This Harris Tweed footstool bench is made to the same proportions as our leather and sheepskin benches, giving you a softer, fabric alternative while keeping the same practical shape and height.

The upholstery is genuine Harris Tweed, woven in Scotland using pure wool. It’s a hard-wearing cloth with real texture and depth, not a printed imitation. You’ll see natural variation in colour and weave, which is part of what makes proper Tweed wear well rather than looking flat or tired.

The bench has a clean, simple profile with gently rounded ends. There’s no deep buttoning or overworked detailing, which keeps it versatile and easy to place. At 35cm high, it sits comfortably in front of a sofa, at the end of a bed, or under a window without dominating the room.

Traditional upholstery layers are used rather than thin foam wraps, so the bench feels supportive and holds its shape with use. Like all our furniture, it’s handmade to order in Britain by experienced upholsterers, not mass-produced or imported.

This is a practical, everyday piece designed to be used, not just looked at.

Sustainability

Harris Tweed is hand-woven from pure virgin wool in the Outer Hebrides, using traditional methods passed down through generations. The wool is a renewable natural fibre, and every piece of Harris Tweed is produced under strict local regulation. By upholstering our furniture in Harris Tweed and making each piece in Britain, we support rural industries, skilled craftsmanship, and reduced transport compared to imported furniture.
